On the 13th of April 2010, Hauzer officially opened its Competence Centre in Shanghai, China. "Investing in Hauzer Shanghai has been a logical step in our strategy of getting close to our customer," CEO Thomas Krug says. "We are proud to present this new location to all of South East Asia."

"China grows fast and the opportunities for innovative PVD coating grow with it," Tony Tang, General Manager Hauzer Shanghai explains. "We are glad to offer our Chinese customers the possibility to be trained in Shanghai, develop coatings together, arrange sampling, take care of pilot production or do some back-up production. Hauzer's global support will become stronger due to our local presence."

The Competence Centre in Shanghai is equipped with a Hauzer Flexicoat 850, Rapid Tool Coater. This flexible, fast cycle PVD coating equipment is very suitable for coating tools. The Shanghai team consists of fully trained engineers who assist customers with problem solving and technical development. Sharing expertise is the basis of our partnership. Well-known Chinese companies such as Wenzhou Tianyi, Lanzhou Institute of Physics, Foxconn International, Kohler Nanchang and several other job coaters, tool manufacturers and component manufacturers already chose Hauzer equipment to seize the market opportunities for PVD coatings in China.
