Excellent Results with HIPIMS and HIPIMS+ Technology  Hauzer has further developed its High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering technologies HIPIMS and HIPIMS+. HIPIMS provides excellent results for etching the substrate surface, whereas HIPIMS+ is very suitable for a dense and defect-free coating with a high deposition rate. The two technologies can be used separately or in combination and have been scaled to industrial production equipment. The official ceremony in the morning contained among others a lion dance for good luck. A conference about new developments in PVD coating technology was the program for the afternoon. Chinese specialists will give local customer support, arrange sampling, give advice and training and develop tailor-made coating solutions. In the Competence Centre both small batches and full load runs are handled.  R&D 100 Award for Superhard and Slick Coating  The Superhard & Slick Coating (SSC)has been developed in a project by Argonne National Laboratory, Istanbul Technical University, Galleon International Co. and Hauzer Techno Coating. SSC won an R&D 100 Award as judged by the American R&D Magazine. SSC's self-lubricating and low-friction nature brings increased engine efficiency and component reliability.  Magazine Hauzer For You, July 2009  The new edition of Hauzer For You has been published. The magazine contains articles about e.g. decorative surface finishes of the future, Asian Competence Centres, MAHLE Group, industrial impact of HIPIMS and HIPIMS+, Nitrocoat Duplex Treatment and Flexicoat configurations for tool coatings.  Hauzer Opens Japanese Branch  Hauzer spreads its wings in Japan. After the joining of the Japanese IHI Group in April 2008, Hauzer opened in April 2009 its Japanese branch in Yokohama. “The new branch provides local support to our customers and training by competent Japanese engineers,” Frans Blom, Sales Director Asia Pacific, explains. “In future, as soon as the economic situation improves, the next step is to install a turn key PVD coating centre for sampling and development in Yokohama.”  DLC Basecoat on Plastics  At the Society of Vacuum Coaters Conference in the USA, Hauzer presented new developments concerning PVD hard coatings used for scratch resistant, decorative purposes.  HIPIMS+ Technology for CrN Coatings  At the SVC Conference in the USA, Hauzer presented the industrial impact of HIPIMS+ technology for Chromium Nitride coatings.  Hauzer Wins Export Award  Hauzer has won the prestigious Limburg Export Award 2008. According to the jury Hauzer is an example to the innovative manufacturing industry, as a partner who shares knowledge in order to give its customers a competitive edge in their own markets.   Introduction of Industrial HIPIMS  Since several years HIPIMS technology has proven itself in an R&D environment as being able to produce dense, defect-free coatings. Hauzer Techno Coating has succeeded in taking the HIPIMS technology one step further - to an industrial level. HIPIMS+ is born.   A Japanese owner for Hauzer Techno Coating  Since April 2008 Hauzer is part of the Japanese IHI Group. “We fit well within the IHI Group,” Thomas Krug, CEO of Hauzer says. “IHI is an engineering company just like us, which makes us understand each other. Furthermore our new parent company opens doors in Asia which would otherwise remain closed to us.”  Hauzer nominated for Export Award  On October 1, 2008 the Dutch Chamber of Commerce will announce if Hauzer has won the Limburg Export Award.
